WHAT’S ON
Nick Butter (World Endurance Athlete) UPDATE Nick from Cranborne, Dorset, started his solo expedition in Canada on January 6th 2018 with a target to have run a marathon in every country in the world during 2019. That’s 196 marathons in less than 24 months ! Nick aims to raise £250,000 for Prostate Cancer UK and is well on track to not just accomplish this for such a worthy charity but also set a world record. However, every bit of financial help and support is needed to complete this amazing feat of endurance.  To follow Nick and see how you might support him, together with all the exciting info and incredible statistics he’s achieved so far, plus tracking his journey can be accessed via his website - www.nickbutter.com or runningtheworld196.com
COMING UP IN CRANBORNE
Watch out for our special 20th Anniversary event in October 2019    more details here and locally.
And why not join one of our many user groups to get fit  and make new friends.
Save the date! The 2019 Ride is on Saturday September 14th. Ride+Stride is a sponsored event in which people walk or cycle or horse-ride between churches, whilst exploring our wonderful Dorset countryside and enjoying the hospitality of our church communities. The money raised (another record of £87,295 in 2018) is used to help conserve Dorset’s churches, chapels and meeting houses and to help keep them active and at the heart of their communities for the use of future generations. Half of the money raised is returned directly to your nominated church and the other half is used to fund the grant programme of the Dorset Historic Churches Trust. The Rector, Rev Robert Simpson, is planning to organise a circuit ride of the Quintet Churches, which should take about an hour and a half. Our local schools and children have expressed an interest. We could do with volunteers to ride and also some adults to help chaperone the younger riders!
